About Me

Hello, beautiful people!

My name is Tess.

Welcome to my blog!

I decided to start a blog because to share three things that are important to me:

1. LITERATURE

I studied English in college.  At first I didn't like it.  I was just glad that I wasn't studying something like science or math, neither of which I am very good at.  I picked English because, honestly, I thought it was going to be a walk in the park.
Wrong.
Trust me... English is not for the faint of heart unless you really, really, really like sitting in front of a computer and writing for hours and hours... kind of what I do on this blog.
The more I read and the more variety I read, I actually started to like reading and writing.
That's the key word: variety.
I started to explore all different types of literature, and I was just soaking it all in.

2. FOOD

I love food.
I grew up and went to school in the Washington D.C. area.  I love it there.
There is so much you can learn from all the different kinds of people.  The diversity is so wonderful.  I feel like I've been spoiled by all the diversity.  Along with the diversity of people comes the diversity of food, and I've tried it all!
So, I loved eating all this delicious food, but the problem was I couldn't make any of it.  I admit; I am a terrible cook.
Don't ask how, but I'm pretty sure I can burn water.
I have made it my mission to learn how to cook.  Because, seriously, my wonderful mother cannot cook for me for forever, as much as I would love that.
But I am not selfish, so I decided to share my easy recipes with my fellow non-cooks out there!

3. PHOTOS

A picture says a thousand words.
So true.
I am not a professional photographer, although I wish I was, but I know a good picture when I see one. I've been known to snap a good image every once in a while with my handy smartphone, which does a phenomenal job, by the way.
Capturing a moment in a photo is priceless.  It's a tangible memory.  You can hold it and see it, and I think that's so cool and important.

So...
Follow me was I share with the world my love for literature, food, and photos!

Peace and love,
Tess
